A Family Safety Plan is something you can create with your family members, including your children, to help keep them safe from sexual assault. Through this activity, you will learn strategies and tools to help your children understand bodily autonomy and when and how to say no. As you create your Family Safety Plan, you are also starting to have difficult conversations that can help build trust and communication among your family members. This will offer your children the confidence they need to open up to you if there is ever a time they feel threatened or uncomfortable by someone they interact with.
Learn tips for having this conversation with your family and download the CareNectar Family Safety Plan template here.
